AWI 7TH World Merino Conference Official Opening and Welcome
Wednesday 12th July 2006, 3:30 pm – 5.30pm
‘The Grange - Upper Swan’
The Official Opening and Welcome to the AWI 7th World Merino Conference will take place at ‘The Grange – Upper Swan’ at the conclusion of the Merino Innovation Day. Bus transfers to/from Burswood Resort to ‘The Grange – Upper Swan’, will be provided. The function is included in the full registration fee and accompanying persons’ social registration fee.
The Elders “Cut Out”

Expect the unexpected! The Elders Cut Out will be an impressive night, relaxed, fun and memorable – at the Elders Wool Store amidst the wool bales!
Connotation of End of shearing celebration - with a difference.
The Woolstores converted to a shed spectacular, start with Cocktails surrounded by walls of wool and then continue with dinner and dancing amongst the bales.
Enjoy the award winning Catering by Zest, a far cry from the usual shearers fare, Stockmans platters and much more.
WA Wines and Beers
Be surprised by the horses and their riders, Bentknee Creative entertainment and then dance the night away with The Magnificent 7 Band.
And still more
Dress warm and casual – no stilettos (floor slippery from the wool lanolin - great for dancing)
Bus transfers to/from Burswood Resort to Elders Wool Marketing Centre, will be provided. Return transfers will be staggered for those wishing to depart early.

AWI Gala Dinner
Friday 14 July 2006, 7.00pm – Midnight
Gala Ballroom, Burswood International Resort.
The grand finale of the AWI 7th World Merino Conference will be a farewell banquet in the Grand Ballroom at Burswood International Resort. This will be a gala event, with sumptuous local food and wine, and entertainment to astound and delight.
This is the Grand finale to the conference, commencing with cocktails overlooking the Perth city skyline enabling you to farewell your international friends in style, then into dinner and lights down for the opening entertainment before the silver service dinner – prepared by the famous Burswood chefs and served with regional wines and beers.
Burswood Ballroom will be transformed for this glamorous night of celebration.
You will be thrilled by Skadada – highly skilled, breathtaking, aerial performance.
This function is not included in any registration fees and is an additional cost. Tickets are AUD$150.00 (inc. GST).
