The Organising Committee have put together a fabulous Programme for the partners of delegates attending the Conference. These tours have been specially designed to allow participants to see some of Perth’s hidden treasures, from a trip down the Swan River, a walk around Kings Park to shopping in popular Bayview Terrace, as well as a range of top tourist destinations. All prices include 10% GST.

Wednesday 12th July – Kings Park & The Swan Valley Enjoy a guided walk of discovery and enjoyment in Kings Park and Botanic Garden. Wander amongst the unique Western Australian flora and discover the glorious diversity of the plants to be found from the coast to the desert, from the rugged north to the southern forests. Leaving the city behind, travel to the picturesque Swan Valley for lunch in the tranquil setting of Sittella Winery & Restaurant, nestled among the vines near the upper reaches of the Swan River. Following lunch continue to ‘The Grange – Upper Swan’ for the afternoon activities in plenty of time for the Official Opening and Welcome Thursday 13th July – The Bell Tower, River Cruise & Lunch Visit one of the largest musical instruments on earth. Swan Bells houses the 12 ancient bells of St Martin in the Fields church, London. The same bells rang to celebrate the destruction of the Spanish Armada in 1588 and the homecoming of Captain James Cook in 1771. See a bell handling demonstration, wander through the fascinating displays on the history of bells and bell ringing, and see the stunning views of Perth city skyline from the tower’s observation deck. Enjoy a leisurely cruise down the Swan River to The Oyster Bar Mead’s Mosman Bay one of Perth’s most spectacular places to dine. After lunch visit the fashionable street shopping precinct of Bay View Terrace in Claremont for a taste of designer label style for those who wish to indulge. Friday 14th July – Perth City Tour Experience the delights of Western Australia’s vibrant capital City where heritage architecture contrasts the natural back drop of the Swan River and King’s Park. Enjoy the highlights of the city including the historic sites of Perth, the cultural centre and shopping precinct. Enjoy morning tea at the Old Swan Brewery on the banks of the Swan River, visit the Perth Mint to see 200oz of 99.9% pure, molten gold being transformed into a solid gold bar in a matter of minutes then take in the breathtaking views of the Perth Metropolitan Area as you enjoy lunch at C Restaurant on level 33 of St Martin’s Tower. |
